Raymond Melanson

The family wishes to announce the passing of Raymond Melanson of Moncton at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on September 15, 2025 at the age of 78. He was the son of the late Emile Melanson and Rita Poirier of Caron Point and the husband of the late Dale Melanson. 

Besides his mother, he is survived by his children: Kim of Bathurst, Dawn (Michel Roussel) of Moncton and Brandy (Dave Powers) of Riverview and five grandchildren.

Nine siblings: Diane Allain (Jim), Jeannine Parent (Louis) both of Dieppe, Claudette, Lisette, Carole, Doris Hébert (Daniel) all of Beresford, Lorraine Lewis (Jude) of Petit-Rocher, Juliette of Nigadoo and Jean-Guy (Rosa) of Toronto.

The mother of his children Patsy Chamberlain of Moncton, many nephews and nieces.

Besides his father, he was predeceased by two brothers Normand and Maurice, as well as two sisters Louise and Suzanne.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for all the care they provided.

There will be a graveside service at the St. Mary’s cemetery at a later date.
