Nazaire Lagacé

C’est avec tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Nazaire Lagacé, survenu paisiblement à sa résidence à Pointe-Verte, le 18 janvier 2026, à l’âge 74 ans. Époux de feu Gloria Carrier, il laisse dans le deuil sa fille Nathalie (Jason) de Lady Fane, ÎPÉ, 4 petits-enfants : Martina (Jeremy) de Summerside, ÎPÉ, Émilie (Brandon) de Rothesay, NB, Connor (Natalie) de Lady Fane, ÎPÉ et Maya (Chandler) de Middleton, ÎPÉ, 4 arrière-petits-enfants : Frédéric et Lévi (Émilie), Asher (Maya) et Clayton (Connor), ses sœurs Réjeanne (feu Élysé), Édith (feu Ajutor), Chantal (Raymond) et son frère Serge (Rosalie), de nombreux cousins/es, neveux/nièces et son compagnon fidèle Muscat. Précédés à la tombe : ses parents Marie-Anne Comeau et Samuel Lagacé, son frère André et sa sœur Sylvie. Travailleur des mines de carrière à la retraite, il passait son temps à voyager, prendre des drives, aller au quai jaser et regarder son équipe de hockey préférée jouer, Les Canadiens de Montréal (il aurait voulu les voir gagner la coupe Stanley une fois de plus durant son vivant). La famille tient à remercier les voisins de Maman et Papa, Camil, Jessica et Arianne, pour toute l’aide portée au fil des ans ainsi qu’à tous/toutes les autres aussi.

Dû à des circonstances hors du contrôle, les funérailles qui avaient lieu seront remis à une date ultérieure.

La direction des funérailles a été confiée à la Chapelle funéraire Verret de Nigadoo.

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Nazaire Lagacé at his residence in Pointe-Verte, on January 18th, 2026 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of the late Gloria Carrier, he leaves grieving his daughter Nathalie (Jason) Lady Fane, PE, 4 grandchildren: Martina (Jeremy) Summerside PE, Émillie Roy (Brandon) Rothesay, NB, Connor Costain (Natalie) Lady Fane, PE & Maya Costain (Chandler) Middleton, PE; 4 great-grandchildren: Frédéric & Lévi (Émilie), Asher (Maya) & Clayton (Connor); his sisters Réjeanne (late Élysé), Édith (late Ajutor), Chantal (Raymond) and his brother Serge (Rosalie); numerous cousins, nephews/nieces and friends, as well as his faithful 4-legged companion, Muscat. Preceding him in death: his parents Marie-Anne Comeau and Samuel Lagacé, his brother André and his sister Sylvie. A retired career mine worker, he loved travelling, going for drives, visiting the wharf for a chat, and watching his favourite hockey team play, Les Canadiens de Montréal, which he always hoped to see win the Stanley Cup one more time during his life. The family wishes to thank Mom and Dad’s neighbours Camil, Jessica and Arianne for all their help throughout the years, as well as friends and family who would drop by to check in on them.

Du to unforeseen circumstances, the funeral services has been postponed to a later date. 

The funeral direction was entrusted to Verret’s Funeral Chapel in Nigadoo.
